Research Interests

My research is focused on applications of holography, also known as gauge-gravity duality or the Anti-de Sitter/Conformal Field Theory (AdS/CFT) correspondence, to the study of systems involving strongly-interacting degrees of freedom. Examples of such systems are the quark-gluon plasma created in heavy ion collisions and high-temperature cuprate superconductors.
