Research Interests

My main research is based on the AdS/CFT correspondence or holography. This conjecture claims that some special type of strongly coupled D-dimensional QFT (CFT) can be understood using a dual theory in (D+1)-dimensional AdS space-time. In the lower energy (Super)-gravity regime, the dual theory is weakly coupled, so we are allowed to do perturbation analysis and extract information about the Thermodynamics, Transport properties and Entanglement entropy of our D-dimensional QFT (CFT). I will be using this kind of dualities to study some strongly coupled Condense Matter systems described by a QFT (Kondo effect, Superfluids, Superconductors...) and try to get some insight about how they work, from the gravity perspective.
