I went to school at Christ the King primary and Douai Abbey, did undergraduate degrees first at Reading part-time between the ages of 13 and 18 and later at Christ's College, Cambridge, where I also continued to my PhD in DAMTP. I was a JRF (title A Fellow) at Trinity College for three years before moving to Oxford where I am a tutorial (teaching) Fellow at New College (having previously been a research fellow at Balliol College).

If you would like to learn about Otto von Guericke or the Magdeburg spheres experiment, my father has written a book: Thinking about Nothing
