We are supposed to calculate the density of states at the fermi surface in this case. At the top and bottom of the band we can do that using m*. But what about the fermi surface for a monovalent atom?
We have a non quadratic E(k) there.
kf=pi/2a so it is still 2Na/pi?
Would be very happy about an explanation thank you.
