![]() Physics is an immensely beautiful subject. Like most physicists, I find joy in sharing some understanding of how nature can be described in elegant and simple ways. The American Journal of Physics provides a forum for sharing developments and alternative descriptions that all of us can use to better understand well-established physics. In "A Spaceship with a Thruster-One Body, One Force,", Scott Dudley and I present a simple mechanical problem comprehensible to first-year physics students with some unexpected dynamics. |
