A DNA tetrahedron formed from four single strands in its complete state. DNA tetrahedra were first realized in experiment by the Turberfield lab at Oxford University - we hope to explore assembly pathways with our model.

Here is a short hairpin (loop of 5 bases, stem of 6 base pairs) folding at 300 K. The grey bases are non-complementary and end up in the loop: the red and green form the stem. The red bases indicate the nucleation point for the stem.
