Good evening,
How do I determine the velocity of an electron or hole in an energy band E(k) when a force F(x,t) is applied to the electron/ hole?
Is the following method valid?
1. Use equation 17.6 to calculate the velocity as a function of k
2. Use equation 17.7 to calculate k as a function of t, x
3. Insert the finding of 2 into the finding of 1. This gives the velocity as a function of t, x.
