Hi, I was wondering - since an antiferromagnet must be observed through neutron scattering which is sensitive to spin, and electrons provide a vastly larger magnetic moment than the nucleus, how can neutrons detect a periodic moment change given that they can only interact with the nucleus?
I assume that the electronic and nuclear angular momentum are coupled, but by the Hyperfine? if so doesn't this coupling break down at quite normal-ish conditions?
Thanks!
