In q1, you can express the zincblende structure as an FCC lattice with basis Na [000], S [0.25,0.25,0.75] (is this correct?)
If this is so, surely we should choose primitive lattice vectors as a_1 = [0.5,0.5,0], a_2 = [0.5,0,0.5], a_3 = [0,0.5,0.5], i.e. the PLVs of the FCC lattice. Yet it seems parts (d) and (e) work out if the primitive lattice vectors are along the coordinate axes, i.e. if we say the structure is a simple cubic lattice with a more complicated basis, and use the PLVs of the simple cubic. How do we know which lattice type to choose? Thanks.
