Turbsim: turbulence simulation

2012 schedule

Turbsim is an informal news and discussion forum for scientists with an interest in turbulence, held at the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy (CCFE).

Meetings may feature, for example, tutorial whiteboard talks, work in progress, papers of interest, or ideas for discussion. They will usually be held at 11:00 on Wednesdays in the Adams room; any variations are noted.

Below, coloured dates occur within Oxfordshire school term or University of Oxford Full Term or both. (For a half-day train trip from Oxford, catch the 09:07 direct or the 09:36 via Didcot* and return on the 13:17 via Didcot* or the 14:01 direct. *Doubling-back may require extra tickets.)

To enter the Culham site you will need to have been booked in by a CCFE staff member, and remember to bring photo id such as passport or driving licence.

There is a low-traffic mailing list for Turbsim meeting announcements. To subscribe or unsubscribe, please send a message to turbsim-request@ccfe.ac.uk; the message body should be in plain text (not HTML), and should contain just the word subscribe or unsubscribe as appropriate. You will then be sent verification details, which you may simply send back (again as plain text) to confirm.
