I’m a third year student reading for a D.Phil. in Theoretical Astrophysics. As a member of the Galactic Dynamics group, under the supervision of Professor James Binney FRS, I work on a model for the Milky Way stellar halo capable of revealing its dynamical and evolutionary features.
As College Lecturer at Merton College , I teach therein Mathematical Methods and Electromagnetism to 2nd year physics students. Problem sheets can be found here . Homework should be handed in at the Rudolf Peierls Centre for Theoretical Physics [when entering the DWB from Keble Road using the up-going stairs, it’s the building on your right, just before the 4th floor entrance of the DWB]. If you hand in your work after 5 pm, there is an outside general letter box (just on the left of the door) which you can drop your work through. For the tutorials schedule see the bottom of the page.
I was born a mathematician and I’m going to die one: being a physicist is just a phase.
Under construction.
